One flower wednesday

I know it is not Wednesday yet, but tomorrow may be too busy to post, and I'm ready now!  I had planned on making all my flowers with yellow centers, but the stripe fabric was crying out for another color.  So it has to be in a totally different quilt, right? Also, the fabric is a different weight, so I have definitely started two quilts, not one.  That works out well, my son and daughter will each get one this way.  I have not perfected my hexie folding technique, they are slightly different sizes no matter how hard I try.  I will keep trying!  it is too much fun to quit. View other beautiful hexies and tips on how to make them at Karen's blog http://www.journeyofaquilter.blogspot.com/

I love the way the striped hexie looks, I have another colorful fabric selected for next week.

Happy Wednesday!

Cute hexie-flowers, Brenda. That stripey one is stunning set like that. Looks like you'll be doing hexies for a while - making two quilts - but they are so addictive I know you'll enjoy it!

WOW! Two hexie flower quilts at once. You will be busy making hexies for awhile. And you make yours without templates which is even more amazing!

Great flowers and very brave to start making two quilts! Now is the question: will your daughter get the striped hexies, or your son?
